Wonderful Beans
A girl at work practically forced this recipe on Ellen, but it's become a family favorite, especially with Michelle.
Ingredients
- 1 (1 lb.) can pork & beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can yellow beans, drained
- 1 can green beans, drained
- 1 can butter beans, drained
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- Onion, as desired
- Green pepper, as desired
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
Directions
- Combine can of pork & beans and all other beans in one bowl.
- Saute pork sausage, onions, and green peppers together. Drain and add to bean mixture.
- Mix in tomato soup, tomato paste, mustard, brown sugar, and chili sauce.
- Pour into 13"x9" pan and bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour 15 minutes.
- You can prepare this ahead of time and freeze.
