Wonderful Beans

A girl at work practically forced this recipe on Ellen, but it's become a family favorite, especially with Michelle.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) can pork & beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can yellow beans, drained
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can butter beans, drained
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • Onion, as desired
  • Green pepper, as desired
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce

Directions

  1. Combine can of pork & beans and all other beans in one bowl.
  2. Saute pork sausage, onions, and green peppers together. Drain and add to bean mixture.
  3. Mix in tomato soup, tomato paste, mustard, brown sugar, and chili sauce.
  4. Pour into 13"x9" pan and bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour 15 minutes.
  5. You can prepare this ahead of time and freeze.
