Green Bean Bake

(Microwave Method)
When Bob Church came to dinner at the Warner house, it seemed this was always on the menu. What was worse, Mom always made him "try it." He did learn to like it. The original recipe is on the French fried onion can. This one should save you some time.

Ingredients

  • 2 (9 oz.) packages frozen cut green beans
  • 1 (10-3/4 oz.) can Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • Dash pepper
  • 2.8 oz. can French fried onions

Directions

  1. Place beans in medium microwave-safe bowl and cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 9 minutes or until tender, stirring twice during cooking. Drain.
  2. In 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole, combine soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. Add beans and 1/2 can of the onions.
  3. Cover with lid. Microwave on high for 7 minutes or until hot and bubbling, stirring halfway through heating.
  4. Top with remaining onions. Microwave, uncovered, on high 1 minute more.
