Sour Cream Apple Pie

Yummy - and you don't have to peel too many many apples!

Ingredients

  • 9" unbaked pie crust
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups peeled and cubed apples

Topping

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup margarine

Directions

  1. Sift together sugar, flour, and salt. Add sour cream, egg, and vanilla, mixing well.
  2. Fold in apples. Pour into pie shell and bake for 15 minutes at 425°.
  3. Lower heat to 350° and bake for 30 minutes longer.
  4. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle (or glob) on top of pie.
  5. Return to oven and bake 15 minutes longer. If crust gets too brown, cover it with foil.
