Sour Cream Apple Pie
Yummy - and you don't have to peel too many many apples!
Ingredients
- 9" unbaked pie crust
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups peeled and cubed apples
Topping
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 cup margarine
Directions
- Sift together sugar, flour, and salt. Add sour cream, egg, and vanilla, mixing well.
- Fold in apples. Pour into pie shell and bake for 15 minutes at 425°.
- Lower heat to 350° and bake for 30 minutes longer.
- Combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle (or glob) on top of pie.
- Return to oven and bake 15 minutes longer. If crust gets too brown, cover it with foil.
