Peanut Butter Pie

Gee went on vacation to Maine and all we got was peanut butter pie...and it was worth the trip.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 stick butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup chopped peanuts
  • Pie Crust
  • Chocolate sauce

Directions

  1. Beat syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, peanut butter, and peanuts together and pour into unbaked crust that has been dribbled lightly with chocolate sauce.
  2. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Cover with foil and continue baking till pie is tall and firm. (About 15 minutes more.)
  4. Dribble with chocolate sauce after baking. Serve with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
