Steakhouse Pork Chops

with a Creamy Pan Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz) pork chops
  • 1/6 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/6 tsp crushed coriander seed
  • 1/3 tsp crushed dill seed
  • 1/2 tsp crushed mustard seed
  • 2/3 tsp dried minced garlic
  • 2/3 tsp crushed black pepper, plus more to taste
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 tsp beef Better Than Bouillon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • Lemon, quartered (optional)

Directions

  1. Pat pork dry with paper towels. Season all over with salt, then coat with red chili flakes, coriander seed, dill seed, mustard seed, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook until browned and cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer pork to a plate and wipe out pan.
  4. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in same pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring, until softened and lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in bouillon and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly reduced, 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Season generously with pepper.
  7. Spoon sauce over pork to serve. Servee with lemon wedges on the side.
