Steakhouse Pork Chops
with a Creamy Pan Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 (6 oz) pork chops
- 1/6 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/6 tsp crushed coriander seed
- 1/3 tsp crushed dill seed
- 1/2 tsp crushed mustard seed
- 2/3 tsp dried minced garlic
- 2/3 tsp crushed black pepper, plus more to taste
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
- Olive oil
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1 tsp beef Better Than Bouillon
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- Lemon, quartered (optional)
Directions
- Pat pork dry with paper towels. Season all over with salt, then coat with red chili flakes, coriander seed, dill seed, mustard seed, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook until browned and cooked through, 4-6 minutes per side.
- Transfer pork to a plate and wipe out pan.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in same pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring, until softened and lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in bouillon and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly reduced, 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Season generously with pepper.
- Spoon sauce over pork to serve. Servee with lemon wedges on the side.
