Cheeseburger Pie
Ellen served this once right after she married and Bob hated it. After 20 years she tried again and it was a hit.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 can refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
Sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
Directions
- Brown beef and drain off fat. Add onion, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste. Blend well.
- Open rolls and separate into 8 triangles. Place in ungreased 9-in. pie pan, pressing together to form a shell.
- Pour meat mixture into shell. Top with cheese slices.
- Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve with spicy sauce.
Sauce
- Mix tomato paste, butter, water, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat to boiling.
