Funnel Cakes
If you haven't made it to the carnival this year, now you can save yourself a trip. Don't try these at home if you're afraid of oil.
Ingredients
- 1-1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Cinnamon sugar or confectioner's sugar
Directions
- Mix together all ingredients except cinnamon or confectioner's sugar.
- Deep fry in oil at 350° by pouring batter through a funnel into desired shape in oil. Let sit until golden brown.
- Remove funnel cake from oil using slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Top with your choice of cinnamon sugar or confectioner's sugar.
