Dump Cake

From Mary Jane, this is one of the easiest and tastiest desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1-1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (walnuts are a good substitute)

Directions

  1. Layer 13"x9" ungreased baking pan as follows:

    1st layer: crushed pineapple
    2nd layer: cherry pie filling
    3rd layer: dry cake mix (spread to sides)

  2. Drizzle melted butter over top. Sprinkle with coconut and chopped nuts.
  3. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes. Toothpick should come out clean.
