Bread Pudding

Good to use with stale bakery bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2-1/2 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1/3 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Beat together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  2. Place dry bread cubes in an 8x1.5 inch round baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle raisins over bread. Pour egg mixture over all.
  4. Bake at 325° for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool slightly.
