Apple Crisp
This came from one of Joan's teacher friends and she makes it often because she hates making crust.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Dash of salt
- 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 5-6 sliced apples (I use Granny Smith)
Directions
- Blend flour, sugar, salt, and butter. Set aside 3/4 cup for topping and press remaining in 8x8 pan for crust.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon and toss with apples. Spoon on top of crust.
- Add crumbs reserved for topping over apples.
- Bake at 375° for about 1 hour. (Watch that the edges don't burn.)

*Recipe is for 8x8 pan or double it for a 9x13 pan
