Triple Chocolate Truffles

A recipe from Ginny, these chocolate truffles are gooey and decadent.

Ingredients

  • 4 (1oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 Tbsp. baking cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Confectioner's sugar

Directions

  1. Melt unsweetened chocolate, 1 cup chocolate chips, and butter. Cool slightly.
  2. In mixing bowl, beat sugar and eggs for 2 minutes. Add vanilla and chocolate mix.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add to the chocolate mixture.
  4. Add remaining chocolate chips.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours.
  6. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Dust with confectioner's sugar.
