Pressed Cookies

Don't chill these for any length of time or they won't come out of the press very well and will be accompanied by lots of foul language (Bob).

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2-1/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Cream butter, vanilla, and cream cheese. Add sugar until fluffy and then add egg yolk.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add in fourths, mixing until blended.
  3. Fill cookie press with dough and press onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes.
