Italian Cookies
A Chatelle family legacy, passed down from Gramma Pascuzzi.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks soft margarine
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 5-6 cups flour
- 3 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Add vanilla. Add milk alternately with flour. Add baking powder and salt.
- Refrigerate dough.
- Break into pieces and make ropes. Form into circles and place on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Cookies will not brown.
- When cool, frost with icing.
