Chili Sauce
We've brought Vi's really spicy recipe down to a more mild sauce.
Ingredients
- 20 large tomatoes
- 6 onions
- 12 hot peppers
- 5-1/2 cups sugar, to taste
- 4 cups vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. salt
Directions
- Chop tomatoes, diced onions, and remove seeds from hot pepper. DO NOT TOUCH HOT PEPPER SEEDS, they will burn your fingers.
- Combine with remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 hours or until thickened.
- Ladle into sterilized pint jars.
