Fruitcake

Great for Christmas gifts - if you know anyone who likes fruitcake. If you don't have enough friends you could always use half of the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 lb. very fine sugar
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 lb. cherries
  • 1 lb. pineapple
  • 1 lb. dates
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 1 lb. walnuts
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 pint brandy

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Bake at 275° for 2-3 hours (depending on size of loaf pan). Use small loaf pans (1 lb.) for Christmas.
