Chultan Zombie

A recipe from my D&D cookbook, this one is a take on the classic Zombie. Refreshing, tropical, and perfect for summer.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 5 oz amber or dark rum
  • 4 oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1-1/2 oz grenadine
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 3 oz seltzer, cold (optional)
  • 2 orange slices, pineapple chunks, add/or maraschino cherries for garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with ice and add remaining ingredients except seltzer and fruit. Cover and shake to blend and chill, about 30 seconds.
  2. Fill two chilled Collins or highball glasses about halfway with ice. Strain half mixture into each.
  3. If using, add 1-1/2 oz seltzer to each glass and stir gently.
  4. Garnish each cocktail as desired and serve at once.
