Chex Mix
Mom used to make this for Club.
In other words, off limits to the kids. I think that's why the Warners like it so much. Recipe direct from the Chex box.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter
- 1-1/4 tsp. season salt
- 4-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 8 cups Chex cereal (corn, rice, wheat)
- 1 cup salted mixed nuts
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
Directions
- Melt margarine in open roasting pan in preheated 250° oven.
- Stir in seasonings.
- Gradually add cereal, nuts, and pretzels; stir to coat evenly.
- Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread on absorbent paper towels to cool. Store in an air tight container (or place in front of John if you don't want leftovers)
